Beat, when Tiger appeared on Mike Douglas, he was almost 3. That would have made Earl Jr about 23 - hardly there as a companion for Tiger. The older three lived with their Mom but Earl Sr had visitation rights. By the time Tiger was born, most of them had outgrown court-mandated time with their Dad and just did the same sort of visits any adult kids do with their father. Sure they "loved" Tiger, just like one does a cute little family member we see two or three times a year. LOL
I just think it's sick that we are judging these relationships thru the prism of a guy trying to sell his articles. I really loved Colin Cowherd on the radio this morning with Rick Reilly - he challenged him as to the purpose of such a one-sided article and said even if every word was true, why is it anyone's business and what could Earl Jr possibly hope to accomplish by publicly chastising his brother? Colin said if that's brotherly love, no wonder Tiger isn't involved with him. Rick was dancing, trying to defend himself and used the old saw about "public figure, role model, endorser of products, etc." Cowherd SHUT HIM DOWN!
He said if you buy an Apple product, do you expect the Apple CEO to shake your hand, be a nice guy, or sign an autograph. When you go grocery shopping, do you expect an executive of the grocery chain to bare his personal life and thank you for using his store? NO - so why is it our business how entertainers or athletes live or interact with their families?
This article, except for the news about Kevin's MS (which I think Earl Jr had a lot of nerve spreading since Kevin didn't speak on it himself and his medical problems are HIS private business), is a rehash of whining that Earl Jr has done in the past. If he were my brother, trust me, I wouldn't return his calls either - much less share any of my personal business with the bigmouth.
