well haney isn't certainly going to help tiger by it, for sure, even if everything he says about tiger is true.

so tiger isn't the perfect gentleman. did he ever claim to be? all we, as fans and casual observers, can reasonably expect of him, strictly happens on the golf course. how he treated haney, his wife, or other tour players has no bearing on how he hits a golf shot.

if it somehow makes you feel better about yourself to know such things, then by all means buy the book. then consider yourself the same person reading the book as haney is in writing it, especially if you feel it is your duty to share it with the rest of the world as haney has done.

I am definitely with Paddy on this issue.  There have been many world famous black athletes in other fields who have been involved in worse things than Tiger's infidelities when it comes to women and the media talks about it for a few days and moves on.  The only athlete in the world who has taken the barrage of criticism and unending media bashing for 2-1/2 years is Tiger and I too believe it is totally racist because it is the world of golf.  And I am not an African-American male, but a Caucasian woman and I still believe this to be true.   President Clinton's nonsense with Monica Lewinsky didn't go on for 2-1/2 years in the media nor did any of the other politicians who were proven to be philanderers - they came on the news with or without their wives, apologized, either resigned from their position or didn't and it was over. Even now whenever they talk about Tiger's current game, they more often than not preface it with "since the scandal".   If Phil had been caught having these affairs, it would have been talked about for a few days and then it would have been over believe me.  I heard Phil say "Aw s_ _t" on camera during the last tournament -- nobody even mentioned it -- if it had been Tiger they would have been all over it like white on rice.  And, in my personal opinion, any coach of an athlete who writes this type of a book is doing it a) hoping to make a windfall of money since it is about Tiger or b) because he works for TGC and is helping to move their bash Tiger routine.  And I have no more respect for the person who actually wrote the book than I do for Hank - this is like The Enquirer in hardcover mode.  Just my opinion.

Very well stated Kloudy. I am in total agreement with both yourself and Paddy on this book and the RACIST overtones which have dogged Tiger throughout his entire career. And I also agree that had this same scandal happened to Phil we would have heard about it for a few weeks and then it would have all blown over since Phil is a member of the "good old boys club" that is golf. And I too am a 61 year old Caucasian grandmother and I feel this way. Probably more than any other reason this is why I want Tiger to wallop Jack's record.

The hypocritical delusion that golf is a gentlemen's game is just that---a delusion. I would suspect that each and every current and past member of the PGA has some skeleton lurking in their closet which they would really prefer never saw the light of day. I mean these guys are human after all. They are not saints as TGC and the PGA would have us believe. Well all of them except of course Tiger (sarcasm). And Hank Haney and Jaime Diaz have now joined the ranks of SLIME. Both of them are on video as stating that this book was about Tiger's golf game. And of course we all now know that this is a giant load of GARBAGE as we all suspected it would be. I hope this is the end of Hank Haney and that I have never have to see his back stabbing face again!

GO TIGER! BEAT 18!!!!!!!

I agree....it sickens me...I wish somehow Tiger's PR team or counter this...

I wish we could see Tiger -his interaction with his kids, his mom, doing things that shed light on his goodness as a person as well...

Wouldn't that be nice. To see Tiger as a human being and not some golf machine which is what the media would paint him as.

Showing the human side of Tiger would be great.
The media could learn something they don't seem to know.
As much as the media start their stories about Tiger saying, "we have learned from Tiger's website that"
perhaps they will read the comments here about Hank Hiney and learn what a fraud he is. "the book is about golf" well bull_____ !
Looking like the book is anything BUT GOLF.

I would like to see Tiger on the 'David Feherty Show' because Tiger and David seem to have a good relationship and David seems to be a Tiger fan.
I BELIEVE it would show more of the human side of Tiger and David would, I feel, would not ask unwanted questions, like Alex and others do.

Would really like to see Tiger and the Little Cub playing at Augusta. Doesn't get better than Dad and Son. ;-)

Appreciate the heads up of what is in the book...not worth reading.   This book is about everything except being Tiger Wood's 'golf instructor.'  Shame on Hank Haney.

Laughing about Elin wanting a party after a Tiger win, because that's what they did while
she was
Jasper Parnevik's nanny.

So that was 5 PGA Tour parties.

LOL

Right on!  I think that makes perfect sense and I bet we will see a counter move made....Where and When is anyone's guess but I believe it will happen...I think somethings like the media junk doesn't really bother Tiger...but other things like this may really fuel his fire.....just saying

@ "may really fuel his fire"

We here and the Tour and the World knows what happens when the fire is burning hot.  = 'W'
