It is a laundry list of things it seems. Poor drives not allowing him to go for it in two, If he goes for it in two he ends up with a poor shot, when he has to use 3 shots he is not getting his third close with the poor wedge play, and finally missing makeable putts. It isn't just one thing to point to it seems. He seems to be hitting the ball as long as ever but for whatever reason above he is not scoring on the par 5s. He is only -4 on 36 par 5 attempts at majors this year. He is giving a significant number of shots to the field.
Adam Scott at it again. 3 par 5s, 3 birdies. Scott dominated the par 5s at Lytham.
