DAY TWELVE (12)
2005 MASTERS Results
Winner: Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods pulled off a memorable chip-in at No. 16, then defeated Chris DiMarco with a 15-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole (No. 18). In so doing, Woods became only the third person to win at least four Green Jackets, joining Jack Nicklaus (6) and Arnold Palmer (4). It was the thirteenth playoff, and seventh in sudden death, in Masters history. Beginning the third round six strokes behind DiMarco, a record-tying seven-hole birdie streak beginning on No. 7 propelled Woods into first place by three strokes.
