    • TIGER STAT 1 WIN IN EVERY 3.7 STARTS

Tigers career is easy to look at as Pre Scandal and Post Scandal. The 1 win every 3.7 starts is a Pre scandal number. Post scandal it's nearer 1 win in nearly 30 starts.
Shows how big a life changing event it was.

A lot of injuries and swing changes count for much of not playing or not having his A game.

Injuries and swing changes have been a part of Tigers career. Nov 2009 was a deep line in the sand. The before and the after are like night and day.

More like a trench in the sand.

VigFor.  Trench or ditch or any name you like to call it. Thanksgiving was a moment in time where Tiger changed. Nothing has been the same since. Maybe there will be another definitive moment that will again change how Tiger ends his career.
I don't think Tiger ever had a negative thought  in his life prior to that Nov.  Once he had the first sensation of self- doubt the invisibility blanket had been breached.

After my husband was killed, I was told that usually we will not look at life as being before it, but I will start my life after that day in March. And that is true. Most of the things in the "Pre" days are about my kids, but my life goes in a box of "Post" days. Can't we just let Tiger put his "pre" days in a box under the bed and forget the worst of it?? I know, I know we don't just automatically forget the bad days, but they don't have to be fresh and a constant reminder by those who apparently enjoy recalling those things. Most of the stuff does not need to be dredged up. I would imagine if any dredging of that stuff comes up, it runs through Tiger's mind in the quiet hours of the night when he is alone. He doesn't need his friends reminding him of his past mistakes. Besides we all make mistakes of varying degrees. Some are worse than others, but they produce memories all the same. So can't we just leave well enough alone?? When we complain about Tiger's lack of success on the course by digging up the past, we just continue adding salt to his mental wounds. My prayers for his peace of mind go up every day. So let's bury the past. Okay??

Nice post, sky!!  I, too, have buried a husband.  I have that "box" packed and sealed.  The good times we had as a family though are alive and well!!  But as to my "personal" life......I'm enjoying life to the fullest, especially since realizing the past is the past and sometimes bad or sad things happen.  We can't change that......but we can move forward and enjoy life with a totally new perspective.

And, that is what we all need to do with respect to Tiger.......pack & seal the sad times.....cherish the good times.....move forward with new perspective.  I do believe in all sincerity that Tiger has done just that.

VF and Stat
Trying to recall. Didn't one or both of you get upset a few days ago, about a thread started about Tiger's Ex, saying it was about Tiger's personal life?
That talk about what happened more than 2 1/2 yrs ago in his personal life needs to end.

  • 5/19/12
I haven't mentioned his personal life. What are you talking about? I don't see Statman mentioning it either.

Like I said, "Trying to recall" could have been 2 others  (?)
