I think it can be confirmed with the article here.

Tiger has hit 18 HIO in his lifetime.

But it's been 15 years since he hit one in a PGA tournament: 1997 at the Phoenix Open.

He also hit one in 1996 at the Greater Milwaukee Open.

 Tiger's quote below was indeed wrong for the press' interest in him on & off the golf course has not lessen over the years.

I should have read the article, it wouldn't have taken me so long to find the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open.  LOL

Trying to remember who the above sounds like. Really no need to try to hard.  lol
