Posting a link to an article is acceptable.  Deliberately trying to bait other posters and incite an argument is not.  First and final warning.

To everyone else on this thread, WHY WHY WHY do you keep biting?  People like this poster THRIVE on your responses!

Well said, I think a little of your temper was there, thank God the potty mouth wasn't.   LOL

I don't worry about the talking heads opinions, worrying about them is not going to change it.

What gets my temper and potty mouth going is the way TGC and others, keep talking about and showing the picture

of Tiger kicking the club.

They don't say a word or picture G-Mac throwing his club, or (was it Stenson?) that was repeatedly slamming his club into the ground,

Not a word or picture of Westwood throwing his club a couple weeks ago, there are many many others too.

All of those are okay I guess, but they find the need to make an example of Tiger.

And for the repeaters, No I don't think what Tiger did is Okay.

the PGA tour allows people watching on tv to call in infractions

on golfers.   and the PGA  has disqualified people for breaking

the rules that have been reported by people who are watching

on tv.

i just think that everybody who is concerned about it should

start phoning in when they see people cussing, throwing clubs,

breaking clubs ( that one will be obvious because someone

will be missing a clubs), etc.   tossing clubs in the water?

well.  it's kinda like tossing a bad "ball" into the water in the minds

of some golfers.   plus.   they are the ones who have to replace it.

but still.   tossing a club into the water falls into the category of

"throwing"  a club.  so.  yeah.   report that too.

we know Tiger is not the only one.   if you have ever been to

a tournament in person,  you see lots of this kind of stuff.

I know I know!!!

LOL

With everything Tiger... They beat it into the ground!

Let it go people!!! LOL

My father has always told me that I have a very bad temper.... I got it from him! LOL

I try very hard, but to not avail I still curse so I am working on it. So I understand

Tiger's dilemmia.

They don't care if the other guys do it. Now if they are willing to fine and penalize

other guys as well... That would be ok, but they just want to finger point and call

out Tiger. I think Tiger knew as soon as he did it that it was foolish.

Exactly............

I spent several years walking the Hope, (lived in Palm Springs 40 yrs) and saw a lot of it from people almost old enough to be Tiger's father(s)

And like I have heard Erik and Garry say on Morning Drive, "Who are they calling and what is the phone number?"

Forgot to mention before,

During the playoff at the masters, Louis Oosthuizen dropped his club after a bad shot, the commentator said,

"He must have learned that from Tiger"

Not that it was wrong, just had to blame Tiger for it.

In the past, Paul has been a big supporter of Tiger. He went on Morning Drive late last year and said Tiger will break Jack's record easily. It was met with some disbelief. Thus, I would take Paul's remarks very seriously.  I just wish these guys would live my their "sacred traditions" and give these opinions and adivce for Tiger in PRIVATE, kind of like Tiger handled the Stevie issue last year.

Just went on Paul Azinger's website to ask him why he singled Tiger out for this diatribe when the other golfers on the PGA throw clubs, swear, spit, all the time. Guess what. Comments are closed on Azinger's website. Must have not been able to handle all the comments he was getting. That is great sportsmanship. Accuse someone, call them out, and then close your comments because you can't handle the heat. Impressive.

Shenlee. I just  went to the link at the bottom of this website " contact us"  I've  asked Tiger why he did what he did?

Think I'll get a reply?  Will that also be impressive?

  • 4/10/12

WHATEVER!!!!!

  • 4/10/12
Did you also go on the link at Henrik Stenson and ask him? Or Lee Westwood? or Keegan Bradley? The difference is Azinger went out of his way to call Tiger out. First of all a real man would have done it to his face. So I guess you know how I feel about Mr. Azinger now. Let's have a deal. I won't post to you and you won't have to post to me. Thanks.

Sounds a little overboard to me!!  Plus every group has a "marshall" walking with them.  I'm sure others are fined equally as Tiger.  But the PGA and R&A policy is this is kept between them and the player.  No public record of infraction or fine.

Give this a rest, please!
