Phil has said before that sometimes he has difficulty maintaining his focus on the course.....maybe it's magnified with the medication he takes.....maybe not. I did think going into today he would play smarter. Seems his "bomber" Phil came out today...... Who knows which Phil will show tomorrow! He had time this afternoon and will have time in the morning to try to straighten out his game. We all know he often can follow a bad round with a good one and by the looks of the leaderboard he may only need to go a couple under par to make the cut.
The player I'm most amazed at is Luke Donald.....+9.....he is normally a very controlled player.
