Has to do with placement of marker.....he dropped his marker which in turn moved the ball.  He moved the ball back, but still subject to the one stroke penalty......

Honestly, while Phil is one of my least favorite on tour, I would surely never wish him ill-will.  I am honestly concerned about him.  He's not playing much (or it seems that way....as I said not a fav so don't following him closely).....and when he does play he appears not to be in control of his swing and even his putter.  If his psoriatic arthritis is increasing it would explain a lot.

I forgot about his health issue.   As Phil was talking today on tgc about the assessed penalty,  I noticed his facial skin was a mess.    His face is covered with red areas.     There are hazards of being a professional golfer.     Did you see that photo last month on the web and networks of a truck driver's face?    His left side was damaged from the sun but his right side was not.

I agree.  He knows what he needs to fix.  He said it on 17.  Got the line, just can't get the distance right.  I bet he works all weekend on his distance.  His driving was supurb!!!!!!!!

Maybe my imagination; but Tiger did not seem totally into this tournament.

He can't do that he knows how everybody - fans - want him to go to number 1 spot! But I do think he was tired!

I am wondering if Tiger will play the Greenbrier Classic next year.    I know the resort treated Tiger like a king.   He probably received tons of freebies.      :)

During the weather delay today, tgc repeated Tiger's interview from yesterday and clearly like someone else stated, Tiger was having problems with his eyes.

Agree......he did look tired!  The heat last week.....more heat this week......a fight to the finish last week.....a fight to make the cut this week.  It has to take it's toll.  But he does have some positives to take away from yesterday and today:  he hit those tee shots really well (75% accuracy) and his GIR stats were good too (63%).  Tiger has always been strong in GIR stats.....but not in driving accuracy.  Once he gets those approach shots to hit within that 10 ft circle we'll be watching something truly special!!

Onward to The Open!!!!!!!
