It is astounding how everybody got so hoity-toity over Tiger cussing and throwing a club (and you are right nobody said word one about Stenson).....but they are playing at a golf club that is racist and anti-women.  They made a mountain out of what Tiger did in the media to draw attention away from all the bad publicity Augusta National was getting all week over the new CEO of IBM who is a woman

We all know they will bash Tiger but not Stensen or Westwood last week (or Bay Hill) for the same thing.
I'm very sure there are a lot more this week too, just haven't done it on TV.
It has always been that way and won't change any time soon.
Waiting for Billie Pain-in-the-___  to start running off at the mouth about it.

Hard to watch this week, to much disappointment with Tiger's play, really thought this was his Masters.
Then Jason Day's WD, just not many of my favorites doing well.

Now we can look to the rest of the year and Tiger going for another Tiger Slam.

You would think after 2-1/2 years I would be used to the bias toward Tiger Woods in everything..... it just riles me up every time I see it happening.  There is nothing more abominable to me than people not getting equal treatment in every way .....One of the posters said Chamblee said Tiger was emasculated....what kind of a remark is that from someone who is supposed to be a professional.  It has been very difficult to watch this week......hate to see Tiger go through this again when he did so well last week.  He has more inner strength than all of them see because he just continues to look forward....we will just have to look forward with him.

I totally agree!  I think Tiger did the right thing by apologising for his behavior on the l6th tee on Friday.   Yes, the criticism is often very unfair especially when we see other golfers doing the same thing and getting away with it but Tiger proved himself  the better man by acknowledging his error.  Plus his humor was disarming and probably won over some of the fairer critics.  After all, there are few saints amongst us, and most of us will react in frustrationon in one way or another but fortunately we do not have the cameras on us when we do so!

That is true with the older generation of Asian women, but boy let me tell you its not true with the generation of Asian mothers I know who live near us....they are hard on their kids...both girls and boys....I have never ever ever heard an Asian child speak disrespectfully to his mother.  The Asian mothers of my grandchildren's friends wouldn't tolerate it for a minute from either sex of their children.

TIGER WOODS IS THE BEST!

I am at the point with all this nonsense and that once you and I disagree.  Until every golfer is called out when they curse or when they throw a club or act "ungentlemanly" on the pro tour.....Tiger should never apologize again.  I am absolutely sick and tired of everything bad always being about how Tiger behaves....this is the most biased sport I have ever ever watched.  Sickening. 

When we need to apologize and do so takes courage. Besides that, it may have been hard for him to step out on the first tee, as well. Makes me proud of him for that.

Do you suppose  he will dread facing his mom? You know how she is about being a good sport. :0)

Enjoy the holiday as well as round four. Next year will be better for sure. Any word on his next tournament? I heard it is possible his "transgression" will bring a suspension. What do you think?

KD.   i know how you feel, buddy.   and i don't think it would be the cussing

that would bring a discipline, but the club antics.  they have to keep things

like that in check, KD.   people can get hurt and have been hurt from that

type of thing, including golfers themselves.   and ok.  if a golfer wants to

injure himself/herself with a club...... fine.   although that would be unfortunate.

but the spectators have to be considered.   that type of thing has to be kept

in check for lots of reasons.

the haters will always hate.  but remember.   when Tiger was winning,

and before all the other junk, he was viewed differently.   be patient.  he will

be that golfer again.    give it time.

bottom line.   there has been lots of uncertainty in golf.  why?   money = bottomline.

Tiger is the needle and the needle, though continuing to be the main draw, was

not working properly.    :-)

but here is the truth.   i will state it to you again because you are my friend.

Tiger made a swing change.  he was also injured and had to get well.   a swing

change without an injury .........  for Tiger.  takes upwards of 2 years.   it has not

quite been two years yet and amazingly, he is still ahead of his own curve.  now.

add in the time to get healed and the time may be a little longer.

but still.   Tiger is the man.   he will need to sure up his "course management"

because the lack thereof lost tourneys for him in the past.

not to worry, buddy.  sure.  if a REAL MAN, like Tiger does something wrong,

he should apologize.   i don't think he needs to apologize for everything, but

there are times when it is necessary.   and imo, he was magnanimous in his

response, etc.  :-)

TIGER WOODS IS THE BEST!

COURSE MANAGEMENT -  keeping your cool on the golf course no matter what
happens to help you stay focused and keep clarity of mind.   fist pumps and
showing passion for good shots is fine.

but throwing clubs, kicking, tossing in water, breaking them, cussing, going off in
general, etc. allows one's anger to get the best of them and will not help you win
tournaments.   Tiger knows when he made the change, controlled his course
management, not only did he start winning, but he started dominating golf.

yes.  Tiger's actions in that situation were very manly and responsible.

he is a strong man and i respect him for that.   i am proud of him too.

but i doubt that he would get suspended for that.   other people have

done much worse and as far as i know were not suspended.
