I'm wondering. After TGC has been ignoring Tiger for a couple days, well not ignoring him, bashing him.
How much will we see Tiger on TGC and CBS this week? Even Though Tiger will be winning.
Will he get ignored all four days?

well.   the golf channel owns itself.

but........

it's all about the advertisers.

and somehow i just don't think

that is gonna fly.............  not if they

wanna stay in business.

Tiger brings in the Dough-Ray-Me!!!!

Big Money!!!

especially when he is in contention.

I doubt they would ignore him on the course!  In fact Steve Sands will be right there at the end of his round with mic in hand to ask the usual....."How would your grade your round today?"  They may be slighted by Tiger's skip of the pre tournament presser, but they are not idiots!  If they skip Tiger's play as a means to "get even" they will lose viewers which will mean sponsors will see "red"!

Vg,  :-)

yeah.   the sponsors will see RED, just before they, themselves, go on a rant,

and slip outta their "out - clause"  in their contracts which i am sure they have.

they all have them pretty much now days, (especially the big ones ) for times like now.

when the proprietor  either does something or allows something which puts the

advertiser's earning power ( the money they spent to get an ad ) in jeopardy.

cause yeah.  this ain't tiddly winks!!   those advertisers have to PAY to be on the

golf channel or any channel.   and they expect their investments to be treated with respect

and they also expect to earn from their investments.

here is how most  of the advertisers see.   here is the translation:

Tiger's gonna be on the golf channel during such and such tournament?

o.k.  i'm in.   what are they charging for a 30 sec. spot, etc?

and what are my earnings projections from my ad?

PERIOD!!!!
