Its hard to believe the lack of "wall 2 wall" coverage of THE MASTERS !

I'm still holding a grudge against Billy Payne (former Atlanta Olympic Games coordinator), for taking it upon himself to publicly chastise Tiger at the start of the 2010 Masters.

I am still unsure how Billy Payne was elected to serve in a decision-making capacity at The Masters.

Tiger is the ONE that sells all the tickets, and pays their bills; then Payne plays the Big Man on Campus, to single Tiger out (when others among them are equally as guilty).

I agree with your assessment of the lack of REAL coverage of The Masters.

I wish other Networks would try to compete, and get the rights to cover this (the way they cover the Olympics), since its an international competition (and commands a worldwide audience).

When Billy Payne started that I was wondering how voted him to be god.

He has to be the worse thing in Georgia, yet a self appointed Saint.

We need to see Billy like this again this year

 When I watch the Masters I have to shake my head & tolerate men like Hootie Johnson and Billy Payne members of the Augusta National Golf Club and stop myself from changing the channel.     Tv coverage is always limited and controlled by Augusta.    

There are two reasons that keeps me watching the Masters.  First, is the opportunity to see Tiger win the green jacket @ Augusta.    And, of course the beauty of the golf course.    It is not amazing when you know that the club's members are some of the most wealthy men walking on earth.     lol

 

 

 

 

      Is membership for the Augusta National Golf Club limited only to men born in the U.S.A.?

Totally agree EYE. I hold a grudge against old Hootie and Billie. I have always loved the fact that after Tiger decimated the field to win his first Masters by an unheard of 12 strokes, Hootie decided they needed to "Tiger" proof the course. Have you ever heard about them "proofing" the course for any of the other players??? Like Phil maybe??? And you NEVER will. Then Billie decides to go off on Tiger without a shred of proof. I stated in another thread that if the alleged incident had happened to Phil, Billie would NEVER EVER have even mentioned it, let alone gone off on Phil to millions of television viewers. Billie is despicable and there will be a special place for him in the afterlife!

WE ALSO HAVE JIMMY CARTER in Georgia; therefore, Billy Payne is not exactly the worse.

What TICKS me off the most, is for Billy Payne and his buds at The Masters and elsewhere in the world of the PGA to constantly USE the images of Tiger Woods to promote their tournaments to the world (to increase ticket sales; and advertising dollars); they BEG Tiger to commit to playing their tournaments; only to trash him and try to belittle him once he arrives.

TO ADD SALT TO THE WOUND . . . once he arrives, they go out of their way to show as little of Tiger's matches as the sponsors will allow; meanwhile, spending countless hours "promoting" the young guns and others that are piggy-backing on Tiger's name and the crowds he draws to the tournament.

If Billy Payne had any INTEGRITY at all, he would open this year's Masters by scolding HANK HANEY for writing that trash novel about Tiger Woods, and publishing it a week prior to The Masters !

IF he had integrity.
