    • Phil and Tiger owe the Greenbriar another appearance FREE

More like smoke and mirrors when it comes to the GOLF CHANNEL!

It's being widely speculated there were under-the-counter dealings. Tiger at an event like Greenbriar just doesn't add up. Makes no sense at all.

It really doesn't have to make sense to anyone but those involved. :-)

Let's assume for the sake of argument that Tiger and Phil got some financial incentives to play the Greenbrier, so what, this is corportate America. A few other thoughts:

1. Phil shows up last year out of the blue. Are we saying that he got nothing there last year? He missed the cut then also. It's only an issue or valid accusation this year because Tiger played in it?

2. What's the real difference form several golfers flying all night on a chartered flight from the Open to play in Canadian Open? They all represent RBC.

3. Jim Justice and The Greenbrier are basically the same behind the tournament. What's the difference from him getting some help from Phil and Tiger later in support of the Greenbrier.

4. Look at all the players with Humana on their shirts. I bet every one played in that tournament.

I have a feeling that Tiger played the Greenbrier Classic this year and is now done with it.     After the first round @ Greebrier, Tige admitted he was having a hard time reading the greens.  Tiger will probably treat the Greenbrier Classic like the tournament at the Riviera CC and stay away.

It maybe too early to speculate, but I am hoping that Tiger plays the 2013 Hyundai Torunament of Champions.             lol

Ref: a quote from tcnbtx--   "..so what, this is corpoate America...."

When I read these words earlier today, I interpreted them to mean conduct by corporate America is okay and totally acceptable because it is how the free market system works.     Wrong!!!      It has always amazed me how stupid Americans have become.   But, perhaps, I have been a fool and gave my fellow Americans too much credit for common sense.    For in America it is not "we the people that run the country" but corporations.   For it was greed by the free market system within the banking world that in 2008 contributed towards the near total collapse of the American financial system.   When I read the above words I saw Red because of my experience today with corporate America @ Macy's.   Last night, on NBC nightly news there was a segment on the clothing for the American summer olympics team.     I discovered that Macy's was selling Ralph Lauren's line of apparel for the USA team.    However, when I checked guess what, Made in China.    I said to a store security guy and a salesman "OMG, Ralph Lauren's USA team clothing is made in China.  I am not buy any. "   I left the store without making a purchase and instead will simply make a direct donation to help the USA team.

IMO, it matters how and what corporate America does, for corporations are entities that bear watching at all times by "we the people of the United States of America".

Von if you refused to buy anything NOT made in the USA  you would be naked , have a home with nothing in it, walk everywhere and not be able to communicate in any shape or fashion. No computer, no phone, no TV, no watch, no car, no nothing. I'd take it up with RL , not Macy.

fyi, the story was broken by steve elling of cbs sports, NOT the golf channel. john feinstein insinuated that tiger also received an apperance fee for the frys, but admitted it was unsubstanitated.

imo, that will NEVER happen. its was justice's fault for trusting that tiger and phil would make the cut, it wasn't tiger and phil's fault to take the money.
