No, your point is not well taken. Your point would seem to suggest that in the last two years, Tiger has entered 8 starts in majors, when in fact it is 4. Stats not understood will gloss over fact. The facts are, that last year Tiger entered 2 majors and this year so far only 2. In this year and last, Tiger has NOT entered 8 majors, yet. Give Tiger some time, as he is doing just fine.

If fine means not winning a major in 4 years, he is doing fine and well on his way to spectacular.

There is a definitive line in the sand in Tigers career. Pre November and post November 2009. 
Pre Nov 71 wins 14 majors. Post 2 wins 0 majors.
This paints the real picture.

Throw in there a broken leg, knee surgery and a complete swing change, new coach, new caddy and on and on and on.  He'll break Jack's record in time.

I think the broken leg was 18 months before. New coaches have happened before. Surgery has happened before. New caddy has happened before.

Since Tiger's last major win, 16 majors have been played, but Tiger has only started in 12 of them. So technically, he's only gone 12 major starts without winning. He's missed a full year's worth of majors since his last win due to injury. 12 starts isn't that much longer than the 10 he went between April '97-August '99 or the 10 between June '02-April '05.
