Tiger never plays in a tournament the week before a major. If the Memorial had been the week before the US Open there is a good chance he may not have played Memorial.

Tiger played well Thursday and Friday but, had a mental meltdown on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday he was trying to do too much and dug himself into a hole. Sunday he started off trying to do too much again. Perhaps he needs to start chanting or mediating before his rounds so he can relax his mind.

Tiger plays the week before a major once every year. Firestone.

I think you are right. I look at it this way. He finished tied for 40th at Augusta and tied for 21st at the US Open. He is jumping 19 spots at a time in majors. Puts him on track to win the PGA Championship although I would more expect him to win The Open Championship.

GO TIGER! BEAT 18!!!!!!!!!!!

2012 will see Tiger with four tour wins and one Major. Maybe even five tour wins - and two Majors.

Tiger will also be the come back player of the year, if they do it this year. 2011 they did not have the come player of the year award.

Thank you.
I'm always right. Once I thought I was wrong, found out later I was right.

GO TIGER

OMG......THAT WAS MY HUSBAND'S FAVORITE SAYING!!!!!!

Like that thinking :-)

Got to remember.....the pressure of competition is at its highest level during major tournaments!

I like Tiger's stats......yes he fumbled slightly on the weekend, but he did hit more fairways & GIR than during his prime winning years!!  His accuracy off the tee on Thurs/Fri was 80%.  Sat/Sun fell to 62%.  I've heard commentators say when Tiger is hitting +60% of fairways and GIRs you better watch out!  On Saturday he did have some problems with his cut shot.....but Sunday his misses were slight.  Major problem Tiger faced was zoning in the short irons on approach shots and putting.  I'll stick my neck out and predict by The Open he'll have those irons under control!!

"............yes he fumbled slightly on the weekend"

I need new glasses or a new TV or both.  He went into free fall. Stumbled slightly!  Yikes that is a great euphemism.
