Villages, unless you were very well acquainted with UK traditions it wouldn't mean a thing. Back in the days of mailing Valentine cards in the UK most people would add cute verses etc. The envelope would be covered with fun verses and messages . Examples??

The valentines were a teen thing. The verses were often a bit risque! NORWICH was one of those teen fun things written on valentines :) Should I reveal what the letters stood for...LOL
