Yesterday, even with rain, and today, the course is playing like a british open type layout. Fairways are pretty hard/dry and running out. Greens are getting hard. Windy today, 15 MPH with higher gusts.

Tomorrow will be much less wind (5-10 MPH).

Hey UPT,Wi the last guy I picked I think,was struggling to pick 5 this week and Charlie has hung around a few leaderboards in recent months...Final round underway,Wi with a par at 1..Cauley having a decent final round..

Congrats to Ben Curtis on his victory in the Valero Texas Open..Unfortunately nobody picked him..I shall be back Tuesday for your picks for next week,til then have a good one..

 

 

 

Wait one minute here!!   I don't know if I qualify to take BR's but I will do so since .......   one of my alternates won the  2012 Valero Texas Open with a final score of -9.    

His name is Ben Curtis.   I was the only contestant this week to identify Ben Curtis as a potential winner of this week's tournament.

It was a great win and Ben could hardly do his after tournament interview on CBS.    It was stated the Valero tournament is Ben's fourth win on the PGA Tour.   It meant so much to Ben that it left him in tears.         :)   

Ben has qualified to play the 2013 Masters tournament  and gets a 2 year exemption on the PGA Tour also.  

"Stat of the Day: From 1998-2005, 18 different players won majors. Ben Curtis now has more subsequent PGA Tour victories than 10 of ‘em."
