You cannot be serious? Instantly I saw it, the memory of John McEnroe smashing his drinking bottles with his tennis racket flashed through my mind. McIlroy has a temper, no doubt. Give it a day or two, it will be all over the internet, all the hotheadedness reaction to an errant water shot. Same meltdown of the Masters, only he did not need to shoot 80 as his lead was only one. The double-bogey was icing on his cake.

I'm not making excuses for Rory or trying to minimize anything. He obviously lost his temper on 18 today; but frankly, I don't care that much about Rory.

I often tweet or email TGC folks with my irritation whenever I think that they provide unfair analysis of Tiger; but I try to ignore their analysis of others. It keeps me sane that way.

I so enjoy Feherty.....his analysis on the course and his interview shows!  I often tape them so I can watch the next day.....  He is a respectful journalist.  Funny.  Introspective.  Compassionate.  He has overcome much in his life too.....alcoholism.....disappointing golf career.....  I would sure love him to interview Tiger!!

 

Has Azinger or Feinstein called for Rory to be escorted off the course or publicly suspended? The little guy is making a habit out of abusing his clubs and throwing tantrums.
