Just the facts.....nothing but the facts......no opinion.....just the facts......accept them or not that is your privilege.

Was Sir Nick Faldo expressing his opinion or dealing in facts??? He was expressing his opinion. He has ZERO idea what goes on in Tiger's head as do we all. Thus my opinion is that Sir Nick Faldo (and I say that with a great deal of sarcasm) is ALL WET!

My experience in life and in golf lead me to believe when someone with more experience (and Sir Nick Faldo qualifies in that regard), then I listen.  If I choose to take comments to heart, that is my option.  If I choose not to believe, I have at least listened to their view and digest it for what it's worth.  Sir Nick Faldo has been there, done that, and his experiences and opinions are worthy of respect.

My experience in life has also taught me that there are some who are so narrow minded that they are beyond help.  Some on this site fully qualify themselves as narrow minded.

Gee Villages I would think that some might consider this a personal attack. I do not recall saying anything nasty about you. I merely stated that I DO NOT AGREE with Faldo's opinion. That is my right on this forum. I do not think we need to communicate any further at this point.

i have little respect for Faldo.   and i agree with overpar. one of his purposes seems to be

to constantly cast doubt on Tiger's game.  i don't know why other than to say that Nick

always appears to be in Ryder Cup mode.  back during the World Match Play, Faldo made

snide remarks regarding Kuch and Mahan.

they were in the finals and were paired together.  and i guess, because the two of them

were not breathing fire down one another's necks as the camera showed them heading to

the tee box together, Faldo commented that they were both soft.   yet a friend of mine tells

me when Faldo comments on two European friends playing together (and i think it was during

the same tourney), he referred to them as two mates going out to enjoy a game of golf

together, etc.   so two American players not hating each other while competing against one

another during a tourney makes them soft.
but two European players in the same type of

scenario makes them two buds going out to enjoy a game a golf.

REALLY!!?? (rolling my eyes)

well.  as quiet and unassuming as Kuch is, he commented back regarding Faldo; something

about a golf ball, maybe a club and a part of Faldo's anatomy and what Kuch felt like doing

to him.  of course, being the gentleman that he is, Kuch later apologized to Faldo (who claimed

he did not hear Kuch's comments).

now.  without tearing down the European players nor the International players, i stand up for

the American players and state, specifically of both Kuch and Mahan, that

THEY ARE NOT SOFT!!!

they are both fierce competitors.  as a matter of fact, Mahan went on to beat Rory in that event.

and of course i don't take anything away from Rory.  but Kuch?   he was sick during that tourney.

Tiger was also sick during that same tourney.   and when you are sick, you are sick.   but soft?

h  e  c  k  to the NO!!!!!

Faldo just has to dig at people.   and i have already read that my two pals Von and gppg

disagree, but i am not mad at Bill for posting the info about Faldo's three divorces and affairs.

and i actually don't hold it against Faldo's for what appears to be his tragedies and travesties

of marriage, etc.   obviously, he seems to have a serious problem in that area of his life.

if Faldo could just comment on golf and golf only,  maybe i could view him differently.

but he does not do that.   he makes snide remarks about people and most especially about

Tiger Woods.  and that type of thing in my opinion is uncalled for.  and when i compare his what

appears to be his apparent need to "put others down" /  with his own unsettling set of

circumstances in his own life, i'll tell you.   for me it's a head shaker.

i mean...... really.   he had a good chance to stay out of it.  (other people's lives, etc. )

he analyzes golf.  okay Nick.  STOP RIGHT THERE.  THAT'S ALL THAT IS NEEDED.

but no.

he obviously wants people to also recognize his ability to make snide remarks.  when i first noticed

him doing this, i often would go..............  HUH?   what did he just say and what does that have to

do with golf?

anyway.

i can appreciate Nobilo and Charlie Rhymer and Rosie just to name a few good analysts, imo.

and yes there are others who are good as well.   they all analyze golf too.  and they call 'em as

they see 'em.   if it's negative it's negative.  and if it's positive, it's postive.  and if it's in between,

it's  in between.

but the sprinkling in of snide remarks along with their golf commentary and analysis?

i don't hear them doing that.

Faldo obviously wants us to "get" that he has put someone down with his snide comments, but

what he does not also seem to realize, is that it is also very obvious that he has some issues

that he seems to be taking out on others.   and all because his job allows his to voice his

opinions on the air ways thru a microphone.

REALLY!!!!????

Sir Nick Faldo has 6 majors. His Ryder Cup experiences are unparalleled. He is an accomplished commentator  He has served his dues in the world of golf and is entitled to his opinion.  His opinion is based on a deep pool of experience.

It's a no brainer. He is worth listening to.
