That would be nice. They won't leave him alone, they will be on him like white on rice,

I really wish Patrick the best in his future; but I feel a little disappointed that he did not stay a little longer in amateur ranks. I had hoped that he would make another go at the US Amateur. The proposed admission changes to the PGA Tour seem to be pushing the better college golfers this year.

There was talk about it during the US Open, can't say it word for word, but he may be going pro because of the changes in Q-School, guess that is going to get tougher next year.

What ends up happening to all amateurs whether they admit or not, they have so much success in making cuts and majors and in Cantlay's case, holding a 36-hole lead on Tour, is they start wanting that paycheck at the end of the week. Cantlay's had a very productive amatuer career and this move isn't surprising. I think he waited long enough and got experience playing in big time events unlike Colt Knost a few years ago.
