Yes, i was really happy he managed to make a couple of birdies coming in. i read his presser posted on his website and he actually sounded quite positive. of course Saturday must have been disappointing for him. But imagine if he had played the first two rounds in 8 over. We would all have been so frantic with worry about him missing the cut for most of the day!!! I was kind of hoping he would make the top 20 but he needed one more birdy! Anyway, now he will be home having a lovely birthday party with Sam, so that will cheer him up. Kongo

Yes... should be a good week off for  him, i think alot of people get caught  up in a few performances and forget to take an overall look at whats really going on.  he shot 69 on thursday, thats the only under par round he has shot at olympic in a us open.  I  am sure he will be happy to get to another course where he can play his game.  His putting looks good and his irons look good... Wedges need some work, but dialing in the wedges is something easyer to do when your not worrying about other parts of the game.  Looking forward to a great rest of the season.

yeah, i think he was beginning to get over it as he entered the back nine on sunday.

that one hole placement where the hole was elevated on the back of the green and

front part of the green was a slope, and the way El's ball kept rolling down the slope,

reminded me of the similar experience Payne Stewart had at Riviera.
