and had tiger been there (which he wasn't) then the outcome may have been different.  But it is what it is and rory won.

Let it go guys, just let it go.

We are 2012 now, so stop trying to find some "excuse" Rory had a record breaking major win last year.

Rory seems like a has been already lol.

Nah Im sure he'll be back and win some more majors, just seems that he was massively over hyped, but we all knew that already I think.

He is good but he's no Tiger.

It was record breaking because it didn't play like a U.S. Open and every knowledgable golf fan knows it. The rain softened an already not very difficult Congressional course and made it super easy.

When Tiger won at Pebble, he was the only one to break par and he won by 15.  -12 at Pebble in 2000 would have been equivalent to -25 at Congressional last year. The top 20 at Congressional last year all finished under par. That's unheard of and never happened prior to last year. In comparison, the 20th place finisher in 2000 was like +6 or something like that.

Still your argumentation does not change the fact that Rory won by a wide margin (was it 8 shots).

Its okay man, just let it go, we are in the present now, 2012 US Open, get over it, he won a major in an impressive fashion

If you want to make that comparison, yes Tiger s win 2000 at Pebble was more impressive but thats not the point

Beau Hossler is better than Rory and so is Ricky Fowler he's just inconsistent. Tiger almost came back from 9 shots to beat Rory at Honda. If it had not been for that off 3rd round he would have beat him.

Last time I checked consistency makes a good golf player.
To say Beau Hossler is better than the world number 2 based on one tournament is outrageous.
Rickie Fowler is not even close to Rory.

Why bring back the Honda Classics. Well he did not beat him because Rory outplayed him over 72, so end of story.
"If it had not been for that off 3rd round".
Well if it had not been for that off first 2 rounds at the US Open, Rory would be in the lead now hahaha

People get over that comparison, we all know Tiger is a legend and Rory is almost a nobody compared to him but just give him credit for the tournaments he won and stop trying to justify why he won them. So far he has had one heck of a career and a consistent one.

What has struck me so much about Tigers play is the number of times he has been out of position on the greens.   I'd say he has 3-4 strokes out there from just unforced errors of not having the ball on the right part of the green.  He has left himself with a number of impossible putts that have lead to 3 putts.

I just don't know what happened on the greens yesterday,  forget the putting for a moment,  he was underclubbing on most of the greens and I don't care about the speed,  they didn't change that much.
