What an arrogant pr---.  "He did not live up to the expectations we had...".  Like your expectations are TW's responsiblity. 

Yes, it was racial and stems from his sense of entitlement.  He never questioned his motives.  Never occured to him that TW does not have a responsiblity to live up to expectations he and his children have.  TW did not create them nor did he encourage them.  He was just living his life.
