You are right. Tiger would never say  that. The minute Chamblee comes on I switch the channel. The same goes for Micelli .

Technically, I guess it is still in place, but anyone in their 60's and beyond has been strongly encouraged over the past several years not to tee it up. Someone like Gary Player would definitely still be playing if there hadn't been a lot of pressure put on him to step aside.

If you think that the correct way to defend yourself is to be rude, that's fine. I dont  and that's my opinion as I was taught to have respect for my elders and Jay Townsend is twice his age.

I agree with you. He has a tendency to speak in haste.

He has a long way to go. I think the media 'pumping him up'

too much is giving him the impression that he can do that.

When you are in the spotlight, you have to measure your words.

They will come back to bite you.

The other 'young guns' are very humble and gracious.

My least favorite pro would be Ray Floyd.

Many years ago I had the chance to play in the Champion's Tour Proam in San Antonio Texas. Our pro was Ray Floyd. During our round, he commented to one of my partners that he should just pick-up before his tee shots to save us all time. He came across as very self-centered and arrogant.  At the end of the round, I mentioned that I remembered his 1976 Masters tournament domination. It was very impressive; but my favorite Masters was 1997 because Tiger's score removed Ray Floyd form the records.
