When he gave his public apology he was torn to shreds for how rehearsed and insincere it appeared. When he spoke with Bob Harig about his feelings on the book and how he felt betrayed there were people saying, who is he to call out anyone for betrayal? The media complains about how Tiger ignores the fans and won't sign autographs but, he signs autographs at every tournament but, it's not good enough because Phil signs autographs for 20 minutes after each round. They never take into consideration the possible security risks that Tiger has that Phil does not have to worry about. It's oh Tiger is a bad guy. He publicly apologized for his personal business but, nearly 3 years later they  are still bringing it up in almost every article written about him. They are still holding it over his head. He WDs from a tournament and explains why he WD and they surmised he quit because he was playing poorly. Hank Haney voluntarily resigned but, people still insist that Tiger fired him, EVEN AFTER HANEY ADMITS HE QUIT IN THE BOOK!

This strategy that he and Mark has have not served him. It's worked against him and it's still working against him. The reason it works against him is because the person he tries to portray to the public is not who he really is. I can always tell when someone is being phoney and I think most of the public can tell when someone is being disingenuous.
The difference is the media and some fans will publicly criticize Tiger for is disingenuous persona but, they will let it slide when it comes to Phil Mickelson and others.
Colin Cowherd had Curtis Strange on his show a few days ago. They said they know Phil is not the person he presents to the public and how they've heard things about how he is away from the cameras.
Tiger is not going to earn any brownie points with anyone being a punching bag. They are not going to voluntarily show him the respect they show other players. He has to start demanding it.

Like I said yesterday, Tiger looked embarrassed about doing it.

i hear your heart and i understand your concern.

but it does not really matter what the vile media

types want.   they want that from all celebrities

because they are vile.   it is in their minds, what

keeps them employed.  

but Tiger has handled them well.  all the time.

and whenever he has been in the middle of

a swing change, it is the same thing.  always.

complaints and complaints and more complaints.

but the thing that always changes it is when Tiger's

game comes together. 

that is always the way it plays out.

so. 

it will happen again. 

yes.  there are some media types who lie to gain

attention to their own causes...... such as.  keeping their jobs.

but.  eventually those types are exposed.

i am not concerned in the least.  

Tiger has gone thru these types of media storms on

different occasions, and he always weathers them

well ...............  when he starts winning.   and he is already

in that process.  now they want him to win a major.  

lol !!! 

well.  he wants to win a major too, and not just one major.  :-)

so what will eventually happen to the vile media types?  they

become a bad taste in the mouths of the listeners, because

everyone then begins to recognize their jealousies of Tiger.
