YOU MUST KNOW THAT PHIL
HAD ONE OF THE LUCKIEST DAYS
AT GOLF OF HIS LIFE.

??????????????????????????????

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee    This is the sort of comments that gives Tiger Fans a bad name.  Phil played superb golf.   I can't imagine this view is held by any real Tiger fan.  Phil Mick played GREAT golf. Accept it and give him the credit he deserves.

I totally distance myself from the above bitter remark.

Paddy,

i see what you are saying.

Dave Stockton is a good putting coach.  my concern?

Stockton loves the "forward press."   had Phil using it.  and Phil did not seem to take to the

pronounced "forward press."    don't know if Phil is still working with Stockton but he did

seem to be using somewhat of a "mini" forward press this past weekend, although he did

not appear to use it on every stroke......  imo.

can Stockton help Tiger.   don't know.   and i don't know if that forward press would work for

Tiger.  to me it seems awkward.  and Tiger is a more natural putter.  but i'm not Tiger and he

is the best in world, so .............

i also like Dave Phelps.  i think he would be a better fit for Tiger than Stockton.  but for some

reason, Tiger has never seemed to be drawn to Dave Phelps.

though i think both guys are good,  i also think there is someone else who can help Tiger.

yes.  an extra set of eyes could be helpful for Tiger .   but if he decided to just do it himself,

i also believe he could do that as well.    i really do.

:-)

Bill,

yes, you lefties have that "lefty camaraderie".

it's kind of  ...........  snooty.   lol !!!

we righties are just as good as you lefties.

lol !!!

just having fun.......

hey.  i don't know about the très lucky,

aspect of golf.  what is that?

:-)

My bad, I thought the tournament was over at that point, Nanz seemed to think it was.  You are right I should have been paying more attention.

I agree with your comment.  Phil did commit "a breach of golf etiquette" by not allowing Tiger to finish the tournament before he did @ the 18th hole.

Phil did to Tiger what Y.E. Yang also did to Tiger at the 2009 PGA Championship.       :(

Hi vg.....I too read the article and I'm with you, yes, he could be harsh but at least it was about golf analysis!  Very good article with the exception of his promotion of Chambleep......Johnny actually may think that if it was pointed out to him, that Chambleep puts Fig in the same league as Tiger and that he doesn't analyze, he psychoanalyzes, he might change his mind.  For a man who himself went through a divorce (Chambleep) not understanding the emotional trauma baffles me but then again sorry to say in my view on this, men remarry much faster after divorce than women.  Those are the facts and I don't mean to offend anyone but the facts are the facts.

yup....that comment about Chamblee gave me a huge chuckle!  Well.....if Chamblee is to be the commentator Miller is he has a lot to learn......like humility and humor!  I just love some of Miller's off-handed comments.  But he can pull it off without appearing pompous.  Chamblee can't.......

Unlike Miller.....I believe Tiger will surpass Jack's 18 and he just might do it before turning forty :-))

You are ABSOLUTELY right.....Fig did have the luckiest day of his career.......after this, he will revert back to bombing it, without control because that ultimatey has been his problem.....he just can't control that urge!  If Phil had only listened or known this as a youngster, he may have been closer to Tiger's career numbers.

So true!  Phil the thrill :-))  Actually I found his round Sunday a little "boring"!  I love it when he bombs a drive into trouble and you sit back and watch as he figures a way out!  He's hit some amazing shots!!!
