Tiger,   :-)

Remember to use your distraction box for crazy comments; but also use them for anything that happens out there
on the golf course, including shots you don't like.  yeah.  if you don't like 'em, toss them into the distraction box
and keep moving forward.  go on to the next shot.   :-)

ahem. here's a  question for you. besides myself, how many armchair & back seat golf encouragers do you have? lol !!

Tiger,

i forgot to tell you about the distraction box.

yeah.   a mental distraction box.   that way

you can carry it with you everywhere you go.

so.

you build a mental distraction box with your

mind.  it can be fancy or plain or invisible,

or no box at all, really.   :-)

it's up to you.

and you just put your mental distractions

into that box and forget about them.  you can

use it anytime, but especially when you have

something important to do and also when you

are preparing for and playing in a tourney.

of course pertinent and important things for you

to do should not be tossed into the distraction

box.
  :-)

here is how it works:

EXAMPLE:

1.  you are somewhere important.

2.  you hear some "off the wall" comments.

3.  what do you do?

4.  you immediately toss the comments you
heard into your distraction box.  and likewise
for the golf shots that u do not like, as well
any distractions that come your way.

5.  and forget about them for the rest of the day.

6.  once the "off the wall' comments go into
     the distraction box, they immediately
     turn into thin air.

7.  and they are gone forever.

8.  voila!!!  --   focus and peace of mind for you.

9.  carry the distraction box with you daily and
toss those "off the wall" comments, etc. into
the distraction box as often as you hear them.
they turn into thin air and go away.

note:  -  if the same types  of "off the wall" comments
are spoken on a regular basis or if you just
remember them, then also , remember to just
keep tossing them into the distraction box......
like clock work.   soon.  no matter how often
they are spoken, eventually they will be
            forgotten.

:-)

Tiger.   Word to the Wise.

i am beginning to think that

ur irons and putter just might

be feeling somewhat neglected

compared to your driver.

:-)

so.  i'm thinking.  maybe you

should think about devising a

plan to spend a little extra time

with both the putter and the irons

so that they are more cooperative

during tourneys.

i've got a few ideas about it myself.

will share after this tourney.

:-)

upt.....

First step......driver

Second step.....irons

Third step.....chip/pitch wedges

Fourth step.....putter

All swing coaches (for pros and amateurs) take you through these steps.  Now Tiger has conquered the driver/woods......irons improving all the time as are wedge shots.....putter still needs some fine tuning.  He'll be well syncronized by the Masters :-))
