Donna, Apologies . I was using that for arguments sake. Before the Newbie has had a chance to get his/her feet wet they are under the microscope. I'm sorry for the terminology but the principle still stands.

While I was typing my quick apology I noticed frantic activity. I was going to post my opening post and leave it at that, but I thought Donnas response required the courtesy of a reply.  Looking at some of the venom coming forth I'm even more concerned.

Yes I created this name Troll. Why did I do it? For two reasons. 1 To prove a point and 2 I don't want my long time real ID to be dragged through the mud like VG.
Paul I apologize to you with reference to the VG issue. I stick by the rest of my observations about the Fab4.

Please help the rest of us "GOONS" understand why STATS (AND CHEERS) about TIGER WOODS (on Tiger Woods's Website) seem to bother you so much?

EYE am sure you know; "things are not always as they seem".

Hopefully, you are not misguided by the subtle "bait and switch" attempted here; by those that seem to want to silence FANS, for expressing their love and appreciation for TIGER.

Over the years, you have gotten to know most of the Tiger fans here quite well. You know our personalities; our sense of humor, and our style.

We routinely mind our own business (having fun with all things TIGER); until we are attacked by those that choose to stalk and harrass us for our open tributes to (the great) Tiger Woods.

No member of the prosecution in this thread has ever received an email initiated by me; (including Villagesgolfer) and this mystery poster (TROLL).  They tend to pride themselves on STALKING us, and attempting to silence us.

Tiger fans here are usually on the defense (not  the offense).

This always seems to happen, just in time to ruin Tiger's next tournament for us.

Your understanding regarding this situation will be greatly appreciated.

Donna, true to form another of the Fab 4 deems it necessary to go on the attack. Not surprisingly this is the one VG  got in the " vile"  situation.  Once again the tone is one of 'ownership' of this forum. The other common theme is  the need to tell you how to run this forum. 3 of the Fab 4 were attracted like moths to the light to this thread to yell and scream their innocence. You'll notice the other posters concerns were totally ignored by EYE.
 I am not going to get " hooked" in a useless slanging match with EYE. EYE seems happy to run the 'ra-ra' type thread. The only time he's tempted to leave his room is to 'bully' those he doesn't agree with.
  I believe EYE was the primary reason for VG' candid post. And EYE is the main reason I created this name. I didn't want his/her personal attacks coming under my regular name.
Donna it would appear EYE hasn't bothered reading your friendly reminder about being courteous to ALL posters.
I have poined out a concern that is obviously shared by others. If you need more proof look no further than the opening line. Where have I refused to listen to you? We have corresponded in a frank and friendly manner.  IMO this is  more of the "Vile"  VG mentioned.

Donna, this is a bit presumptuous of me but I can't see you objecting. I'm re-posting your message here. Repeating can't do any harm. Perhaps it will be read and adhered to. I can only hope your message sinks in.



 

Your comments are hypocrisy at its finest. You make this topic because you feel you're being "bullied" for having a different opinion yet you get offended that others for posting stats and "rah rah" threads. Are you and people like you the only people on this site who are allowed to have a different opinion? You want to talk about other golfers and commentators but, you can't extend the same respect to the other members you want to talk about something else even if it is a pep rally or stat topic.

The rah rah threads and stat threads are easy to spot. If you don't like the tone of the thread then don't participate. I seriously doubt the "Fab 4" will be offended if you're not commenting in their threads.

Perhaps you might try to be factual before you launch  your attack.  I don't care about members having stats threads and ra-ra threads.I don't care if they have any thread they like.  That's great. Members can visit those if they like. That is not my point. Posters are 'bullied' for having a different view. VG wasn't hounded for saying ra ra threads should be banned. I believe she was beaten up for having sound opinions about other golfers and commentators. She was beaten up for correcting an outrageous bit of misinformation, namely Faldo being a South African and a Presidents Cup player. She, rightly, corrected this and was pretty much ostracized and labeled "Troll"
 If you want to make a point please be honest with your comments. I don't have ANY problem with the threads you mention. For the most part I chose not to visit them. Your comments are so out of order.
Why don't you direct your comments to Donna? Her refreshing of the general rules of common courtesy are clearly being violated by a select few. she has reiterated that many differing views are welcome here as long as they are presented in a respectful manner.   If you disagree with Donna's rules on common courtesy I suggest you bring it up directly with her.
