             I know the golf channel shows the ceremony as new members are inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.   I watched `the HOF ceremony only once.    It was the year that Charlie Sifford entered the HOF.    I thought that Tiger and Earl would attend the ceremony for Mr. Sifford.  However, I did not see them at the ceremony.    It was a major failure on the part of Tiger and Earl especially Tiger because he should have been the one to introduce Mr. Sifford.  

             I found the HOF ceremony to be too formal and for Tiger's induction into the HOF due around 2015 or 2016, I feel the ceremony should be opened to the public.    The fans of Tiger's should be allowed to attend.   One of the nice feature of the baseball and football HOF ceremonies is the participation by the players' fans/the public.

             When Tiger enters the World Golf Hall of  Fame, I would like to attend the ceremony in person and I know other TTF's feel the same as I. 

 

I belive each nominee get a limited no of tickets...not a large space.

Maybe Tiger and Earl were not invited to Siffords induction.

No way would Tigers be open to public. Would be a mob scene.

Sifford got Gary Player to introduce him at the HOF induction. Strange choice. There was always a question mark about Player being a supporter of Apartheid

Gary Player hasn't always been in the good graces of the South African government. Remember the golf course controversy in Burma a few years back? It got so bad to the point where the Nelson Mandela Children's fund withdrew sponsorship from one of Player's tournaments.

Went the HOF a few years ago (before all the meltdown started). There was huge mural on the wall commemorating Tiger's and Jack's majors and records. Don't know if it is still there. It was as if Tiger was already a member, totally beautiful and heart warming. I recommend going if you can.

After Tiger won the Memorial I saw an article showing one of Tigers gloves and ball from the Memorial that were on display in the HOF.

Many think Player was a racist. Strange choice by Sifford.

The Hall of Fame is very interesting.....went a couple year's ago when the featured exhibit was Bob Hope.  Currently there is also an excellent exhibit for Nancy Lopez. 

The pros are presented with the original tournament trophy the day of the win.....they keep it until the following year when they defent their win.  At that time they are given a replica to keep. So trophies you see in the HOF are all replicas.....

Tiger has indicated he would rather wait until after he stops playing to be inducted.....so hope I'm still able to sit up and walk on my own!!  But I'll get there by hook or by crook :-))))

JUST BECUSE HE IS A WINNER, AND HE HAS EARNED THE RESPECT.

I also went when they featured the tribute to Bob Hope.  I thought that it was fantastic.  Bob Hope was a great comedian without any of today's raunchy, trashy, and crude  behavior.  His support of the American troops was second to none.  Truly, a class act.
