Gee ... do you think he might not look as happy on the course as he used to because he has to be so conscious of every move he makes so that the media doesn't jump all over him?????   Or that its because he's spent the last 2-1/2 years getting bashed over infidelities -- people who commit murder --- even serial killers get less attention in the media than Tiger's "scandal" has gotten.  Think any of that might have taken some of the fun out of the game?   Being unable to be himself on the golf course because everything is criticized ..... unless of course another golfer does it?????

kloudy, you are so right.  Yes the pressure must be unbelievable.  I didn'y say it would be easy but what I did say is the solution is simple.  Getting there is a HUGE challenge.  Everybody's trying to get rich on psycoanalysing TW or writing sensational articles et cetera.  Oh and don't forget the PGA having their say in directing the TIger money machine so that they, the networks, the corporate sponsors, et al can make their piece of the pie.  I just think that Tiger needs to focus on the one thing that is a constant and that is his loyal fans that love the game of Golf.  I think at the end of the day WE the fans all want to see him happy again.  The question is, will anybody let him?

I DISAGREE....I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD MAKE JUDGEMENTS ON "NOT looking FUN"  BASED ON WHEN TIGER MADE A POOR SHOT OR POOR CHIP OR WHEN THE PUTT STAYED ON THE LIP....COME ON...WHO FEELS GOOD WHEN YOU LOSE...

OVER THE YEARS TIGER HAS HAD THE SAME LOOK THAT HE HAS ALWAYS HAD...I'M HERE TO WIN AND IMPROVE...

FUN IS WINNING NOT COMING IN 1ST LOSER.

AND YOU FORGET TO MENTION THAT HE HAS MADE THREE MAJOR SWING CHANGES...DO YOU NOT THINK THE "MECHANICS OF THE SWINGs" then ARE ANY DIFFERENT NOW...I DON'T THINK SO (TECHNIQUE YES BUT NOT WHAT HE IS TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH)

JUST SAYING...

Understood.   Yes, I know he has made a lot of technique changes and it will help him stay in golf.  I had to do the same thing myself having back ailments and knee surgery (no I'm not comparing myself to TW).  These changes are necessary if you want to still play the game (I still play).  However you must admit that as a golfer when you dwell on the negatives in a tournament, never mind each near miss, each bad bounce, each misread it eats you up and then you spiral down.  All I'm saying is these seem to affect him a lot more now than years past.  I think he needs to turn back the clock to his younger FEARLESS state of mind and move onto the next hole like he did before.  Remember!  TW amazed the world with his turnarounds from one hole (BAD) to the next hole (UNBELIEVABLE!) along with his miraculous come backs...  TW tore it up.  You can't deny that TW was having FUN back then.  Cheers.

and the FUN will return very soon!!!  Today he appeared to be playing mechanics (many more practice swings than normal) and being a golfer myself I know how frustrating it can be when your approach shot is too long or takes an unfair bounce followed by a putt that scares the hole.  Not a fun day.....but he was driving the ball beautifully :-))

He sure was driving beautifully... Top 20 in driving accuracy! As good ole Charlie Rymer said today, the rest of it will come, and when it does....LOOK OUT!
  • 3/20/12

Heard that......plus it sounded to me that Nobilo was truly feeling Tiger's disappointment in his round today.....also stating that his stroke was good, he's been leading in driving, his swing looks great and is much less fierce than before and will mean he should be able to avoid further injury to his leg!  Like Rhymer he's predicting great things to come!.....my prediction.....at the Masters :-))

I know! Nobilo sounded very positive to me, too, regarding Tiger.   Guess they'll have to fire Frank & Charlie soon, huh?
  • 3/21/12

Might have to fire Hawk too.....he was very defensive of Tiger this AM on Morning Drive regarding the WD at Doral stating David Toms also WD but no one commented about that and he returned for the Honda last week!  Hawk clearly stated that Tiger is and always will be the one to "talk about".....he's news....no one else comes close!

But hey.....if Nobilo, Rhymer, and Hawk get shown the door, then we'd have to listen to Chamblee (who my the way is now on the LPGA swing)......

Puh-leeeeeze!  Spare me Chamblee.   He's this way then that way then whatever way the wind blows!
