Bill,

u might be right.  but personally, i won't take that away from Phil.  it actually looked to me

that Phil has actually practiced, etc.   not to mention that he has been working with a sports

psychologist, etc.

now ..........  i  don't wanna sing Phil's  praises too loudly, because Tigs is my fave.

but here is one thing i DO know.

Phil beat Tiger.

and that is exactly    the way Tiger sees it.  and when Tiger turns the tables, and beats

Phil or any other player; he will look at it that way.

Regarding golf,  Tiger sees it as "beat" or "get beaten."

and this past Sunday, Phil beat him.

i don't see it as bad.  it's  just Tiger's mindset regarding competition  .........  i guess.

and yes.  i fully expect Tiger to accomplish his goals ........   whatever they are.  and i

am looking forward to it.  but i don't have to put Phil down in order for Tiger to win.

and neither did Tiger  put Phil down.   Tiger was in fact, complimentary to Phil ...... i have heard.

and yes,    i   do  B-E-L-I-E-V-E!!!

:-)

Hit upt......don't forget the stat that Tiger has only won 30% of the tourneys he has been in.  That's phenominal so yes, he knows what he is doing.  Sean has brought him from tee to green and one can't concentrate on all.....in other words, giving up concentration and focus on one part to master another.  Although, as he has had many coaches before, an objective set of eyes to stand by the sidelines wouldn't hurt, thus my suggestion that he see Stockton.  We all know Tiger could be the teacher in ALL things golf, more than likely even teach Foley or Stockton a few things BUT Tiger is open to coaches and an extra set of eyes would never hurt.

YOU MUST KNOW THAT PHIL
HAD ONE OF THE LUCKIEST DAYS
AT GOLF OF HIS LIFE.

??????????????????????????????

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee    This is the sort of comments that gives Tiger Fans a bad name.  Phil played superb golf.   I can't imagine this view is held by any real Tiger fan.  Phil Mick played GREAT golf. Accept it and give him the credit he deserves.

I totally distance myself from the above bitter remark.

Paddy,

i see what you are saying.

Dave Stockton is a good putting coach.  my concern?

Stockton loves the "forward press."   had Phil using it.  and Phil did not seem to take to the

pronounced "forward press."    don't know if Phil is still working with Stockton but he did

seem to be using somewhat of a "mini" forward press this past weekend, although he did

not appear to use it on every stroke......  imo.

can Stockton help Tiger.   don't know.   and i don't know if that forward press would work for

Tiger.  to me it seems awkward.  and Tiger is a more natural putter.  but i'm not Tiger and he

is the best in world, so .............

i also like Dave Phelps.  i think he would be a better fit for Tiger than Stockton.  but for some

reason, Tiger has never seemed to be drawn to Dave Phelps.

though i think both guys are good,  i also think there is someone else who can help Tiger.

yes.  an extra set of eyes could be helpful for Tiger .   but if he decided to just do it himself,

i also believe he could do that as well.    i really do.

Bill,

yes, you lefties have that "lefty camaraderie".

it's kind of  ...........  snooty.   lol !!!

we righties are just as good as you lefties.

lol !!!

just having fun.......

hey.  i don't know about the très lucky,

aspect of golf.  what is that?

My bad, I thought the tournament was over at that point, Nanz seemed to think it was.  You are right I should have been paying more attention.

I agree with your comment.  Phil did commit "a breach of golf etiquette" by not allowing Tiger to finish the tournament before he did @ the 18th hole.

Phil did to Tiger what Y.E. Yang also did to Tiger at the 2009 PGA Championship.       :(
