Walter was a true professional journalist.    One knew Walter was engaged in a profession and not a tv entertainer looking for fame and wealth.

Cable TV and the internet killed journalism. Now they are more concerned about getting a story out there before anyone else facts, are a casualty.

Oops, I forgot this point.    Barbara Walters was a real journalist until she went HOLLYWOOD on us.     :)

You are correct.    Too many channels killed not only journalism but quality shows on tv & cable.

Absolutely respect your opinion vg......I don't watch network news either.  Sometimes it is more accurate to view a news channel that is on the outside looking in.  I actually watch BBC, MSNBC and have watched Fox. People generally say that MSNBC is liberal  and yes much of it is, but, I saw them jump on Obama many times.  He is our President, and Hannity (most other Fox reporters) won't even respect the title.  No disrespect here, we all have our own belief and right to that vg......it's all good!

On another note, Tiger had an article on his NEWS tab regarding his putting basically stating that he was going back to what his Dad taught him.  That was to stand more erect and feel more weight toward your toes.  He is now going through another change within a change but he definately appears more comfortable.  I just hope he gets that approach shot down, that is really where he won so much, sticking the pin within 10-15' and more times than not less that 10'.  We see that approach shot getting close like he used to and he's THERE!!  HE'S STILL IN IT.......TOMORROW!

Oh docc, believe me.....I have watched it too before ever coming to my own conclusions.  Right now, between Limbaugh and Fox, best money Pres. Obama never had to spend!  AND, network news is also bought and paid for so for a real perspective the BBC channel hits it pretty much on the head.  Contrary to what most people would say MSNBC didn't have a problem wailing at Pres. Obama either.....so I would say, although they are liberal, they certainly are more "fair and balanced" than any of the other cable pundits.  The BBC pretty much gives us an idea of what the rest of the world thinks of the US and we are not #1 anymore due to the unfunded wars and the republican candidates.....I don't think many Americans can dispute that.  JMHO!

Shepherd Smith is their only saving grace....I agree Bill!  IMHO, it started with Limbaugh dumbing down America and Rupert Murdoch is just flat taking advantage of our capitalistic system......he still goes home for health care.  Socialistic Australia!  Where does that lawsuit stand with him now anyway.......how did that get buried?

American.....christian values, for the good of the many......that is what our country is based on, where did that go.  Even 3rd world countries take care of the elderly and aging.  Christian values!  And for anyone that would be a naysayer at me, I don't believe in abortion except for health problems and forced activity.  BUT, this is not for a representative to decide......we will all stand before our maker one day and answer to all our sins, including the passage from Jesus, that it will be harder for a rich man to pass through the head of a needle than a camel.  Obama is not my judge nor are any of the candidates, it is between me and my maker.  I believe that is covered under out First Amendment.......

Remember I said there was a lot of misinformation that went out after Hurricane Katrina, some of the stories are still being bantered about.

Here is the source of those photos.
