That's exactly what I was saying to myself as they were pontificating about this the other morning.  The LPGA certainly needs the help in selling tickets and from where I stand the name Woods is a ticket seller....in addition to which I hear she's a good golfer.

Not too shabby for her first round as a professional.

Her first Pro round, the nerves had to be going a million miles an hour

Not bad for the first round, considering the pressure from the name and sponsor invite.

I actually think that they make too big of deal about. Heck, the Masters does "Special Invitees", the US Opne has done it, and the LPGA did it in teh past for Michelle Wie. All of them make sense.

I thought she qualified to play by going through the qualifying rounds?  Hmmmmmm

I hope she can handle the Tiger questions.   "You played great today. . . .   so did Tiger send you a tweet?   the pressure must be immense.  But I watched LPGA for the first time since Lorena retired.  LOLOL

She qualified for US Women's Open via sectional qualifying; but she got a sponsor- invite to the LPGA.

Ohhhhh ok.  So this is not the US Women's Open then.  gotcha .  I don't follow LPGA much.

Definitely left some shots out there today, but it felt good to finally get out there! Loved the energy from all the fans here in Rochester!
