there have been other relationships that have been just as important: jack nicklaus and angelo argea, tom watson and bruce edwards, tom lehman and andy martinez for example. you think that fluff could've easily had won all those tournaments with tiger, had he not popped out of a suitcase? he has done pretty well with jim furyk with a major and a fedex cup.

just like feherty is a pawn in NBC's game in having to interview the likes of fuzzy zoeller. is he not important enough to the networks to be able to take a stand and say 'no' every once in a while? or maybe he just doesn't care?

I was referring to currently, but I see your point.

I really do like the partnership of Tiger and Joey though. Not so much for on the course because Tiger could succeed with anybody there, but I believe the decision Joe Lacava made to leave a promising player like Dustin Johnson to go be on Tiger's bag was huge for Tiger's confidence. Tiger had hit a professional low after that missed cut at the PGA last year. That was the height of Tiger's doubters coming off injury and a mess of a performance. For a well respected caddy like Lacava to join Tiger, that was huge.

Feherty has a TV show. That's extremely different from an on-course interview right after a round.

I'm sure his bosses told him to interview Williams if Scott were to win. Its as simple as that. He still has producers that control the shots. His bosses wouldn't have let him say no to that without consequence. That's a big story because of the time. It was just a few weeks after the spat between Tiger and Steve. What producer in their right mind wouldn't want to get that interview.

you could say that tiger 'stole' lacava from dustin johnson, but tiger knows that dustin is too laid-back a guy to say that was the case. remember that tiger could've easily had mark o'meara's caddy as well, as he was offered to him first.

its ironic that cbs got the interview with williams, but just about everyone afterward said the interview should've never taken place. so who's the big winner here?

I agree! Success is in the cards for Tiger with Joe on the bag!
