Briefly, during the telecast it was stated that Els would give Mickelson a gift for going on a family vacation instead of playing Match Play.   I cannot remember what the type of gift since Faldo mentioned it quickly.    

It is nice to see Els advance to the second round but I do not think he'll be the one holding the Walter Hagen cup on Sunday.

I don't see why you're so upset. Ernie Els has been knocked out 5 times in the first round of this tournament, including a collective struggle with his overall game as of late.

Luke Donald is #1, and came into the tournament as #1 in putting within 10 ft... a very important statistic in this format.

I just checked my brackets.  LOLOL  I am like 4254.  But I am ahead of Annika.  She was like 6000 something.  But I had donald in round 2 who lost an to get to round 3.  And a couple of others. 

Nice to see Ernie back. I have always liked that big guy.
