HEY CJ,

 

EYE think this pairing is ridiculous . . .

It is nothing more than a distraction for Tiger; and amusement & increased ratings for the press, because they know the world will be drawn to the coverage, because of this  (make-believe) rivalry between Tiger and Phil).

It means increased publicity for Phil (which he otherwise would not receive) from Tiger's worldwide network of fans; plus Bubba (is a nice guy); HOWEVER, he is not in Tiger's league (regardless of his win at The 2012 Masters, or the fact that he attended college at UGA in my home State).

Of course, Tiger won the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines regardless of the pairings in the first two rounds.  Phil disintegrated and Adam was never a factor either.  So perhaps . . .     :)
