On the surface, this seems like a well reasoned analysis of the players and the difficulties they face in trying to live a balanced life. What aggravates me is the insiduous implications about Tiger Woods. There are always legitimate excuses for other players missing the cut. If anyone should have missed it this week, it should have been Tiger given the fact that he was quite ill with the flu and a fever over 110 temperature according to the announcers. He looked absolutely fatigued on Saturday but he plodded on, and did not make any excuses.
The other point that upsets me the most is the implication that Tiger won in a field that was was rather weak.."the top 11 included 5 players who never won". Once again, a blatant attempt to demean Tiger's magnificent play and magical win. I was pleased that when Tiger was asked about his game, he said: "next week, you would have me retired and finished, I'll leave it up to you guys to decide"
As many of you suggested, we should consider the source and ignore this PURE, UNDILUTED. BOVINE EXCRETION!
