Tiger hit it extremely well. A 69 that could have been 66 if iron play & putting crisper. That's the way the Old Tiger started majors.


This is Tiger's best start in a U.S. Open since he opened w/ 67 at Bethpage Black in '02. He won that year, 2nd of his 3 US Open titles.


How long are days at the U.S. Open? There are competitors who are just now arriving at the course, getting warmed up to play their rounds.
