Sr.

i have never been to SoCal, but it is a beautiful place.

what a blessing that you live there.

and i never knew that most of their members leave

town during the summer.  that would be understandable.

and if a member is in town and wants to play golf, i

would not be surprised if they have an agreement with

another golf course where they can play instead, etc.

however, i am just guessing.

but the fact that they have to be on tv every year to host

a major championship might also have something to do

with some part of it too.

both being closed for the summer (now that i am giving it

more thought ) and also only being allowed to play certain

holes, etc.

if that  is the case, no wonder that golf course looks so

immaculate each year.   i have never been there either,

but each year on t.v., it is just gorgeous!!!

The Good Ole Boys club is alive and well.
How clever. If you don't know who the members are you don't know which groups are excluded aside from women.

I'll bet you don't need more than one hand to count the # of minorities!!!!!

The course is closed because they don't want the property damaged by play in the hot weather.   As for members leaving town, few of them even live "in town".   The membership, though secret, is widely acknowledged to be international in nature and composed of folks who have homes in various locations.

How many minorities are members at Augusta?

I feel sorry for you women but this is my opinion. I like that the tradition of a great american past time has never been changed or touched. I hope it never does change, becoming a member and who can be one etc. It adds to the mystery and prestige of this golf club, this is the BEST and most thought out golf course in the world. Every thing has a story (the flowers, the trees, the life long members) everything works together to make Augusta National what it has been and what it is today. It's the one major that is always the same and the mystery behind Augusta National and how it works is neat and I personally think it adds to the story lines.

@ "I feel sorry for you women "  ???

Been called a lot of things, never called a woman before.

As for the rest of your post, like you said, it's your opinion.

Column: When it comes to Augusta National's all-male membership policy, it doesn't matter what we think
