1. Open Championship
big gap
2. US Open
even bigger gap
3. PGA Championship
4. Masters
In summary, I love the Open Championship. Love the courses, love the weather, love its history. I like the US Open because its our National Championship, its usually played on the toughest courses in the USA and because it makes the best players in the world suffer and I like watching that. Not a big fan of the PGA. Its clearly the consensus least popular major. Worst field of all the majors, worst/easiest courses and its always set up for the wining score to be double digits under par.
I don't like the PGA, but I hate the Masters. In my book, they are snobby a-holes who think they are entitled to more than others because they work at a famous golf course. You don't see that from the R&A pertaining to St. Andrews. I think Billy Payne is a d-bag for the simple fact that he won't allow women to play, and I am not even a woman, I just think its incredibly stupid, no reason for it. I also don't like the stupid TV rules, its the least televised major in terms of time that Augusta lets them televise. And last of all, I just don't get why people are in love with it. Personally, I think the Open Championship and the US Open have much more tradition.
