He didn't try to cheat. He tried to play professional golf without killing himself. A person with Weber syndrome can't possibly take the physical toll of walking 18 holes and still survive.

Using a golf cart in professional golf gives a player an unfair advantage. It is cheating. That what Martin did.

can't have different rules for differing abilities. Martin was getting an advantage over other golfers  with the use of a cart.

No different than the advantage the players get who use belly putters because they can't putt worth a darn with a regular putter.  I believe that is an advantage over the other golfers.

How can a belly putter be compared to riding a golf cart?????????????????????????

Yes you can. Its called the Americans with Disabilites Act and if it is an "unfair" advantage, why isn't he out there winning tournaments? An advantage gives someone a means to have a leg up on everyone else. It isn't an advantage if you are using it just to have a fair shot. I fail to see how using a golf cart helps your golf game anyway. It doesn't help his golf game, it helps him survive and any reasonable person would know that it isn't an advantage.

Because it helps your golf cart and is actually in violation if the rule that "No club can be anchored to your body."

Don't argue with trolls.

Great to see Casey make the US Open.

Incredible. I'm putting over a valid point about golf cart usage. I name Ken Venturi as a VERY valid reason why they are an advantage. And you call me a troll.  You don't have any idea about Ken Venturi. So I will educate you.
In 1964 Ken Venturi won the US Open at Congressional . It was a 36 hole final day played in temps over 100 degrees. He came close to collapsing due to heat exhaustion.
You are saying a cart  would be NO advantage?

   Sure!
