Can you believe this? Tiger Tees off at 830AM in pursuit of number 15 MAJOR WIN and NO TV COVERAGE LIVE. What are they doing, selling computers? WHY don't the advertisers SCREAM??????

C'mon, Bill, you should know the drill here. TNT has the exclusive live TV coverage on Thursday and Friday. They're on the air each of those days for six full hours, which is quite a lot. Now we probably agree that a network other than TNT would be a better match for coverage of this event, but the fact is that the PGA Championship is by far the least attractive to potential broadcasters of the 4 majors. Several folks here (perhaps including you) were bemoaning the TV coverage at The Masters earlier this year, too. The reality is that the TV world does not revolve around Tiger Woods. Advertisers were well aware of the broadcast schedule when they signed on, so why in the world would they SCREAM? I thought you were pretty savvy in media matters, but perhaps I gave you too much credit. Anyway, enjoy the tournament!

the european tour has our number on tv coverage. during every tournament, they cover both the morning and afternoon wave.

golf channel's coverage is almost like the kid that wasn't invited to the birthday party so he has his own party. i realize there are mouths to feed, but to watch people talk while play is in progress is a big waste of time, imo. i can get my scores anywhere.

Except the European Tour is covered by the Golf Channel over here.

TNT coverage is really annoying with all the commercials. It's like, 3 shots, then 5 commercials. There is no flow to the round with their coverage.

CBS will be more of the same tomorrow as well. Commercial, 2 shots, commercial, Faldo yapping, commercial, 4 shots, commercial, Feherty telling a joke, 1 shot, analysis of Tiger's swing, commerical..
