I heard this yesterday. I didn't catch the dates so I said nothing.

Has anyone heard anything about the invitation to play in Turkey?? It was mentioned this week as well.

I agree. It will be a real treat if his mom is able to attend and visit her home.

I don't recall the time of the Turkey appearance. I do know some questioned about whether he was going for an appearance fee or simply to play for the usual winner's share. The info about Mark's saying that it hadn't been decided is probably as much as we will hear right now. The powers that be, Tiger, etc. are focused on this Major.

This part of the world is volatile right now and I would prefer he be very careful in making this decision.

generally, players are paid an appearance fee with the expectation that they win. the tournament brass just don't go willy-nilly paying anybody. plus tiger attracts a big draw to any tournament he plays. so he earns it, one way or another.

Hi,

An article entitled "Tiger Woods to return to Malayasia in busy October" states that he will be playing in Turkey. Don't know about the authenticity but here is an excerpt"

Woods is just starting out on a stretch could see him play as many as 10 times in 14 weeks. His overseas schedule is to start the second week in October in Turkey with an unofficial event that pays $2.5 million to the winner in a short field that includes McIlroy, Westwood and Luke Donald. The CIMB Classic would be two weeks later, followed by the HSBC Champions, the final World Golf Championship of the year.

Would be an absolute delight seeinh him play so often...and hopefully win a few!

i read on espn that he wont be playing WGC. i think he's gotten tired of the WGC, having won so many of them. remember the WGC was created in response to greg norman's threat of starting his own world tour. wonder if tiger is thinking the same? he's played pretty lackluster at WGC Akron the last couple of years, kinda made me glad i didn't attend. don't waste my time. faldo said on the broadcast nobody wanted to be there. sad.
