What is so special about the Invitational? It has no CUT and has fewer players like the other tournaments

Its a World Golf Championship event and it is probably the most elite field in all of golf.

It's a World Golf Championship (WGC) event.  Field is based on OWGR, plus winners of tour events (all tours).  So you have a field of "elite" golfers.....  There are 3 or 4 such events each year.
