Thanks for posting this comprehensive article on the life and career of Tony Martin.    He was before my time but thanks to TCM I enjoyed his work and that of Alice Faye and Cyd Charisse.    Alice was a great actress and singer.      Cyd was a great dancer with Fred Astaire & Gene Kelly.        

Isn't it neat how thanks to TCM an entirely new generation can enjoy people like Tony Martin, Cyd Charisse, and Fred Astaire. Luckily these greats are not lost to the world.

 

 

Sure is and don't forget that starting tomorrow TCM's annual Summer under the Stars begins.   The first star is John Wayne.   If, you never heard of her try to watch on August 21st for Kay Francis.   She was a great actress & looked like she came right off the pages of Vogue magazine in all of her movies.     :)
