Will the R&A punish Tiger for his poor behavior at Royal Lytham last week?

Tiger Woods could be handed fine over claim he swore at 11th tee on second day of Open

TIGER WOODS could face a hefty fine after he was reported for swearing during The Open.

Royal and Ancient bosses have confirmed they will investigate claims that Woods was clearly heard to shout an obscenity at the 11th tee on Friday.

This is the just latest in a long line of on-course incidents that have landed Woods in hot water.

The American was fined by the European Tour for spitting on a green during last year’s Dubai Desert Classic.

He was also disciplined by the PGA Tour for angrily kicking his club away after hitting a poor shot during this year’s US Masters.

In the past his cursing and tantrums have earned condemnation from legends such as Tom Watson, who urged Woods to clean up his act and show more respect for the game.

He reportedly said "g__d___"

Oh for the love of God. When are people going to grow up? So what he sweared? Get over it.

Was he the only golfer to swear that week'? No, it's the R&A trying to set an example again. I'm sick of this bull. I swear all the time, science has proved there is a benefit in swearing, it can release some anger. Does swearing make me an immoral person? No!

TOM WATSON should shut his mouth, who is he to judge Tiger? The raging alcoholic who divorced his wife?

I didn't realize Tiger had a drinking problem.

Correct, that would be Mr Watson.

Here the complete article for those who are interested. Personally, I think it is much ado about nothing.

Now R&A chief executive Peter Dawson is to order a probe into the latest allegation.

Dawson said: “I didn’t actually hear it and it’s the first time it’s been raised with me so I’m not going to give an off-the-cuff answer.

“I’ll have to look at that and I can certainly get hold of the recordings. We would use the Tour’s disciplinary procedures and refer these things to the Tour.

“But glass houses come to mind sometimes. I’ve been known to swear on the golf course once or twice, but we’ll have a look at it.”

While Woods was upset that he fell short of winning his first Major in four years, his third place finish at least saw him move up to No.2 in the world rankings.

The American has been on a mission to reclaim the top spot he used to consider his personal property during a 10-year spell at the summit of world golf.

He was finally knocked off his perch in October 2010 following a knee injury and a four-month sabbatical from the game in the wake of the break-up of his marriage.

The 36-year-old slumped as low as 58th last November but victory at Royal Lytham on Sunday would have seen the resurgent Tiger make his long-awaited return to the No.1 spot.

Ernie Els, meanwhile, has rocketed up the rankings from 40th to 15th courtesy of his Claret Jug triumph.

Scotland’s Paul Lawrie – who finished tied for a share of 34th place – retains his ranking in 31st place after a poor putting display over the weekend cost him a golden chance to tie up his Ryder Cup place.

I guess Tiger should learn from Peter Alliss.  The R&A, USGA, PGA Tour, HOF, TGC, and all the pompous in the golf world will condone and find very funny if he would just  shoot the finger whenever he gets angry; but they simply will not tolerate bad language or other actions. After all, they have their BS standards.
