I know Tiger has won 3 times on the PGA tour, the most of any players but something is still wrong about his overall game and If I was Tiger I'd do the following.. I'd do away with Nike clubs when the contract expires, I don't think his driving has ever been good with Nike drivers and a change might do him wonders. I'd drop Sean Foley as golf coach simply because Tiger still has that darn dip in his downswing and if Sean doesn't see that and hasn't fixed it by now he's not the right man for the job. That dip puts him in a crouched position at impact and his arms are not fully extended like they should be. On one of the golf tournaments a year or so ago they showed him in a split screen swinging and one swing had the dip and the other didn't and the one without the dip was such a better swing. With this dip in his downswing he ought to experiment with shaving off a half of inch or so of his shafts like Charlie Beljan did and see if this could make a positive difference. Anyway besides me I guess we're all glad I'm not Tiger.

I don't know that much about adjusting this and that on a golf swing, but your suggestions are as good and as workable as anyone else's who has offered solutions to the various aspects of a golf swing. We just have to trust in Tiger's judgment concerning his game.

For me its just so frustrating when I feel that Tiger's shadow is more talented than the guys who are beating him these days.I failed to add two golf instructors I'd consider if I were Tiger and thats Michael Breed host of The Golf Fix a show on the Golf Channel. This guy has tremendous golf smarts and can analize a golf swing with the best of them or even a Peter Kostis who makes great observations about the pros swing on the Konica Minolta Swing Vision . I just enjoyed pro golf so much more when Tiger seemed invincible and hope someday it will happen again.

nope, try again.

Tiger is not required to use any Nike clubs, by contract.

i will also assure you that, at The Oven, there are hundreds of different combinations of drivers heads/shafts that have all been tried. this includes non-Nike products. Tiger continues to go back to the Nike VR driver.

you state that his "driving has ever [sic] been good with Nike drivers ". this is not true, either. his driving has never been the strongest part of his game. it's always been his approach game. for years, Tiger was much better than the field in proximity to the hole.

Your being funny if you think he'd use anything but Nike products. He's the face of  Nike Golf, with his own line of Nike apparel and footwear. In 2010 50 PGA pros used Taylormade Drivers and only 10 used the Nike driver. (Google it) Is it because Taylormade is a better driver or are these golfers being paid to use them. That I don't know. How many more tournaments would the worlds greatest ever golfer win if he had the best driver in his bag and not the next best. That I will always wonder about. Every time he uses the driver now I fully expect him to let go of the club with one hand and curse a little. I have no confidence in him hitting a straight drive where in the 90's it would be straight down the middle. I pull as hard for Tiger as anybody and only wish him success.

Are you a professional golfer?
  • 7/24/12
Nope.  I'm just a lifetime lover of the game. Tennis and golf.

Ok. Thanks.

Tiger started using Nike clubs in 2002. I think he's done ok since then.

Golf isn't about where you hit drives. Drive for show.....
