The problem was Tiger moved 1 shot further back from the leader on day 3.  Now he is 5 shots off the lead.  When will # 15 come?

So with another day to play, you are giving up now ??

Is only 5 back not 25 back.

You're right. 5 shots is not all that much, particularly if the wind picks up. Looks like the forecast is calling for gusty winds up to 25 mph for Sunday. That could make things extremely interesting.

5 shots to a player who is playing so well like Scott right now is a sizeable advantage.   Scott is also a good scrambler.   Your right the winds are forecast to blow tomm,  but it's going to be a upwind and downwind situation.   You won't be able to hit 2 irons into the teeth of those winds if they reach the levels they are forecasted at.   It's also going to blow the same for everyone.   I don't see anything that favors Tiger over Scott in the wind,  what's your take?

Belief only goes so far,  at some point it has to turn into reality.   If Tiger had done anything on the back 9 this week I'd be more optomistic.  Hard to win when your only scoring on half the course.

Sometime back, there was a thread that asked, what's your favorite scenario for Tiger's next major win. Here's my entry from months ago and I'm sticking with it.

1. Tiger enters the final round several shots off the lead.

2. Strong winds impact the final round.

3. Tiger shoots a great final round.

4. He wins running away.

As my fellow Texan said on Saturday night in 1999: "I have a good feeling about tomorrow, that's all I'm gonna say".

Another major where Tiger is not leading after 3 rounds and ends up losing.  Another par 70 major where Tiger loses.  Let history be your guide to the future.  Accept reality.
