Tiger is currently #1 in the FedEx Cup standings!!!!!  He earned 500 FedEx Cup points today and......$1,170,000!!!!  Not too bad for the golfer everybody has been saying is finished for the last 2-1/2 years!!!!   He's won his 3rd tournament this year and 74 tournaments in his career.  If the World Rankings were run the way they should be he should be #1 in the world again....but they aren't run property so I believe he'll still be #4

I think I misunderstood - its the Fedex points. Will have to see tomorrow if there is any change in the rankings. Thanks for the correction

No change in the rankings. PGAtour.com has already updated all stats...interesting how this got done so quickly on a Sunday eveni\ng. Tiger is still #4 in the World. If he wins both remaining majors in 2012, he will most likely go back to being the world's #1 golfer. However, that doesn't really matter at this point.  He's still the greatest this game has ever seen.  Vaya con dios, all!

The stats update is only from the pga tour info.....if you open the world ranking listing you'll see that it is through last week.  PGA will not update that stats file until the OWGR posts their update which happens every Monday.
