I sometimes suspect that Tiger is not a natural-born golfer. Perhaps few golfers are. But Tiger seems continually to be redoing his swing or his stance or his putting. And then when the going gets rough, all this pasted-on technique peels away, and he reverts to unfortunate habits. I recall that the first time I saw him on TV, he could barely drive the ball 15 feet, and although he was only about three years old at the time, I had some doubts. But of course, he has developed considerably since then.
